Match report Back to winning ways thanks to another good team performance. The skipper losing the toss yet again meant we had to take the field first on the hottest day of the year, but this proved to be a blessing in disguise as Saffron Walden have a strong batting line up and always chase well.

It was apparent after the first few overs that there was absolutley nothing in the wicket and it was going to be a long afternoon in the field! We however, courtesy of some good bowling, fielding and fantastic team spirit managed to restrict the oppo to 246 for 9 in their 52 overs.

Special mention to James McKay for an awsome spell of 13 overs on the bounce in the sweltering heat and two top spells of bowling from Rehan.

The reply started well with Nick and Jacko smashing the ball to all parts (along the ground for a change!) until Nick found the toe of the bat off of a rank full toss which went straight to mid wicket. A bit of chalk on the end of Nick's bat might have seen the ball go for 6! Phill Apps got in and out which bought the out of sorts Benny Dip to the crease who played sensibly upto 60 and then started to smash it to all parts!

Glenn played a very classy knock of 82 until he was caught plumb in front, which saw James McKay come to the crease and help Ben to see the side home!

Another good team effort, showing the focus and drive that was missing last week and subsequently another 18 points.
