Match report The b's hosted a Woodford Wells team in a hard fought freindly match which went down to the last over.
Having finally won a toss B's skipper George elected to bat and was promptly run out in opening partnership with Tom who went on to play the anchor role of the innings retiring on 26.
Both Nathan and Zayan scored freely with the whole team chipping in and not a duck in sight.
Alex and Patrick finished the innings, Alex on 6 and Patrick dispatching the last ball of the innings over long on for 6 finishing on 7, not bad as the pair only came in for the last over. They were to prove 13 invaluable runs as we posted 99-5 from our 20.
Aside from the win the main objective for the team was to stay alert and tight in the field, of which there are no complaints as we ran 6 of their batsmen out with direct hits from both George and Zayan, who is fast becoming the Jonty Rhodes of the b's with a fantastic catch above his head from Joseph's bowling. Jamie chipped in with a wicket cleaning up the Well's keeper who was looking to go big.
With some tight bowling at the death from Nyle, Yuge and in the case of Fives debutant Joe a rapid, aggresive spell the Wells fell short of their target finishing 96-8.
A good win for the mighty b's and a special thanks to our opposition for a hard fought game played in a fantastic spirit.
