Match report Another good win on a day where we were lucky to get a game of cricket thanks to the efforts of the 9 lads who worked their socks off in order to make sure the outfield was fit for play!

Another toss won meant the oppo were asked to bat on a day where bowling would be difficuld due to the slippery run up and outfield. Chingford got off to a solid start but the introduction of our "kebab king" Fahad together with "Ali Baba" really put Chingford under pressure. They finished with figures of 4-53 and 2 - 59 respectively although a flurry at the end of the innings saw Chingford close on 199 - 7.

We started our chase poorly with Jacko lobbing a catch up to mid wicket in the 1st over but the out of form Zain batted superbly with Gary who is getting better with each game to steady the ship. Gary was out trying to late cut one too many which saw Nick "Porky" Rotsey to the crease. The advise from the skipper of "all day son, see it home" was acknowledged and he was finally out with 17 runs left to win! Nick finished with a well made 76 and was well supported by Zain (38) and then Ian who finished on 53 n.o.

Well done again lads, another 18 points and onto Colchester next week!
