Match report A low scoring thriller .... Classic is the word to be exact. The game all the ups and downs you would expect!! We won the toss and bowled first. Kept on getting wickets regularly and kept the pressure on them. Had excellent attitude in the field and all the bowlers contributed with wicket and tight bowling. Bowled the opposition out in 43.4 overs with 166 on the board. Shahrukh and Charles opened the innings and were cruising along. At one stage we were 45 for no loss in 10 overs, but we suddenly lost wickets in a heap and were 3 down for 47, and 6 down for 82. Rohan Bassi and Sohail Chaudhry got together at this stage and stabilised the innings although we lost Rohan at total of 96, the both of them stayed at the pitch and stopped the rot. When Rohan got out, in came Nick Shirlaw and he and Sohail ended up developing a master partnership. On one hand, Sohail blocked and blocked and blocked, and just saw off the overs of their two most destructive bowlers while Nick constructed a masterful innings where he initially stopped and got himself in and then kept on hitting regular boundaries. Sohail made 14 in 56 balls while Nick made 59 not out. With 7 runs still to get, and match pretty much in our pocket, Sohail (who had been suffering with back cramps) was finally run out and the match suddenly took another turn as our last man, Harry Allen came out to bat. He proved to be more than handful and saw out a few yorkers and then finally Nick fittingly hit a boundary to win the match for us. Great effort in the end and a great win of us.
